State Bank’s “Cookin’ for a Cause” Event Raises $1,233 for the Janesville PTA

State Bank held their “Cookin’ for a Cause” event in Janesville on Friday, September 8th to support the Janesville PTA.  Bank staff served burgers and hot dogs raising $705, plus the Bank’s $500 match for a total contribution of $1,233 to the Janesville PTA.

"The Janesville PTA is honored to have been the recipient of the Janesville branch State Bank's Cookin' for a Cause charity event. We want to thank the Janesville community for coming out to support the PTA today, and especially thank the State Bank team at the Janesville branch for all of their hard work. All the money raised will be used to help purchase new reading materials for our kids needing a little extra help. Thank you again Janesville community and State Bank!" said Christy Ryken, PTA President.

To date, the total amount contributed as a result from State Bank’s “Cookin’ for a Cause” event series is over $42,000 to 23 local charities across each of the markets served by the bank.  Along with the Janesville PTA, State Bank’s CFAC events have helped to raise funds for the Janesville Fire & Rescue, Janesville Veterans Memorial and The Smile Big Project.

Along with State Bank’s CFAC event in Janesville, they have held “Cookin’ for a Cause” events in Waverly, Dike and Ossian this year.
