Getting into the Holiday Spirit with Community Celebrations

The great thing about serving so many different communities throughout northeast Iowa is that we get to experience the uniqueness of each city and town. All of our communities and the people we serve have special characteristics that make them great to work with and live in.


The holiday season is a time when those unique characteristics make our communities great places to be. From Waverly to Calmar, there are great events to take part in to celebrate this time of year.


We’ve compiled a short list of some of the events. For a complete list, be sure to check with your community’s events calendar or chamber of commerce.


Charles City

●Santa House, Central Park- Saturdays throughout December from 10 a.m. to noon and Dec. 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

●Ladies Holiday Extravaganza, Dec. 14 at Trinity United Methodist Church


New Hampton

●Santa Saturday, Saturday, Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Carnegie Cultural Center



●Festival of Trees- Dec. 2-17 at the Classroom Technology Center, Wartburg College,

●Santa’s Arrival- Dec. 6 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Santa’s House in Kohlmann Park

●Christmas with Wartburg- Dec. 6 and 7 at Neumann Auditorium, Wartburg College

●Cedar Valley Hospice’s Holiday Tour of Homes, Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at various homes in Waverly

●Santa & His Reindeer- Dec. 20 at Kohlmann Park
