CFAC Raises $1,778.14 For WAVP

State Bank held their annual “Cookin’ for a Cause” event on Friday, July 14th to support the Waverly Area Veterans Post.  Bank staff served burgers and hot dogs raising $1,278.14, plus the Bank’s $500 match for a total contribution of $1,778.14 to the Waverly Area Veterans Post.

"On behalf of everyone at WAVP, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at State Bank that had a part in Cookin' for a Cause!” said Sara Stephens, General Manager of the Waverly Area Veterans Post.  “We had so much fun and would also like to say thanks to everyone in the community that came out to have lunch.  We appreciate each and every one of you!"

To date, the total amount contributed as a result from State Bank’s “Cookin’ for a Cause” event series is over $37,000 to local charities across each of the markets served by the bank.  Along with the Waverly Area Veterans Post, local charities in the Waverly market that have received funds from this event series include Bremer-Butler Crisis Fund, Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Cedar Valley Hospice, The Larrabee Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa and Relay for Life of Bremer County.
